The Media Design MA programme prepares students to become – as multimedia designers – key players and leaders in creating media artworks, as well as in the creative processes of the creative, entertainment, and advertistement industries, media arts, and applied visual design.
Students can develop a design approach, individual style, strategic thinking and a wide range of skills that are focused on innovation, initiative, individual problem solving, strategy building and team leadership.
The second year is mostly dedicated to the creation of the diploma works, with full institutional support from idea development to final implementation, relying on the state-of-the-art technological facilities of MOME’s studios.

What will the University of the Future, the student of the future, and the artist of the future look like? At the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME)’s 2024 Open Day on 25 October, you’ll have the chance to explore programmes such as Product Design, Animation, Design Culture, Photography, and Designer-Maker. You can also explore the inspiring spaces of one of the leading creative universities in the region, the sports facilities, the park, and the University of the Future project, and pick up essential tips on building a winning admissions portfolio.
At the Best of MOME ‘23, this year’s top MA diploma projects from the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design made their debut on 14 October at the Kastner Kommunity. The event highlighted the questions and issues that occupy the minds of the youngest generation of designers and the various design responses to them.

Facilities
A studio with a ceiling height of 10.5 m and a floor area of 225 m² for shooting films, equipped with professional camera sets, backgrounds, studio lights, stands, a screening projector, a 4 m by 3 m projection screen and sound reinforcement techniques, and with professional assistance provided.
Potential hazards: Staying in the workshop without an instructor is prohibited. Using the equipment is possible after accident-prevention training and induction. Workshop Use Regulations are posted on the door.
Our studio, based on AVID ProTools, is suitable for 5.1 audio mixing, music recording, sound mixing and voice-over work. The deservedly popular Genelec 8030 studio monitors and the 7060BP subwoofer allows for a perfect reference sound.
Thanks to the Dante system built between the recording and mixing rooms we can also easily connect an external sound system to ours.
The eight-channel (Yamaha HS8) sound system in the recording room provides a wide range of opportunities to carry out musical and acoustic experiments.
