Green light for the commute to MOME: GreenGo and MOL Bubi passes

Date: 2024.09.25
As part of its commitment to sustainability and the FISU Healthy Campus programme, MOME has introduced new eco-friendly transportation alternatives. By partnering with GreenGo and MOL Bubi, it enables students, faculty, and staff to opt for green transportation to the Zugliget Campus.

The initiative aims to make it easier for MOME citizens to access sustainable transport options alongside public transport. Through this collaboration, they can travel to the Campus, located outside the city centre, using shared bicycles or electric cars at a discounted rate. This not only sets a positive example for other institutions but also allows the MOME community to enjoy more carefree mobility options.

The electric vehicles from the GreenGo car-sharing service significantly contribute to reducing air pollution in the capital with their low emissions. Meanwhile, MOL Bubi bicycles not only promote a sustainable future but also encourage an active lifestyle and health awareness within the university community, aligning with FISU's Healthy Campus objectives. Both options also facilitate the optimal use of urban infrastructure by reducing traffic congestion and leading to smoother operation of the transport network.

With this step, MOME aims to enhance not only sustainability but also the general well-being and satisfaction of its citizens, providing cost-effective and convenient solutions for daily commuting.

Seven projects mentored through the MOME Red Dot submission programme stood out from the global competition this year, including diploma projects and semester-long university projects.
