Genovéva Petrovits wins the Marché du Film Producers Network Award
Eastern Promises provides a platform for emerging filmmakers from Central and Eastern Europe to showcase new projects in various stages of development and production to leading figures from the European and US film industries.
“One of the key organisers from Cannes’ Marché du Film attended our pitch and was so captivated by the project that they awarded us the Producers Network Prize. This isn’t just a free pass to the market – which normally costs hundreds of euros – but also an invitation into the Producers Network, an exclusive professional community within the Marché,” said Genovéva Petrovits, who received the award alongside the producer of the UK project Soyboy. The award includes access to the industry events of the 79th Cannes Film Festival, covering both the Marché du Film and the Producers Network programmes.
