Zsolt Szabó’s concept takes you to the world of high fashion and was inspired by the work of Dutch fashion designer Iris van Herpen.
Combining multidisciplinary technologies with haute couture execution, he blurs the line between science and fashion to create a new form language for femininity. According to Szabó’s vision, the celebrity wearing an Iris van Herpen creation would arrive to the MET gala in a one-seater, fully self-driving showcar, which would then be converted to a ‘live’ stage prop, like the kinetic sculptures of Anthony Howe, a frequent collaborator of van Herpen’s.
In a hypnotic experience, the wheels of the car that is kinetic down to the tiniest bit would move apart, causing the front section of the car body to separate. The various components would then start moving in sync with the dress to set it off for a dazzling effect.
