Levente Szabó DLA is an Ybl Miklós, Prima and Pro Architectura award-winning architect, head of the Department of Public Building Design at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, and the head of the Doctoral School of Architecture. He is an external member at the MOME EHDT. He is also a full member of the Széchenyi Academy of Literature and Arts.

Biography
Architect Levente Szabó graduated from the Department of Public Building Design at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 1999. Since 2007, he has been a full-time lecturer at the same department and became head of department in 2020. He has been the director of the Architecture Doctoral School since 2024. In his teaching and research, as in most of his architectural work, he focuses on the possible relationships between architecture and memory. He has penned numerous articles, research papers and books. Levente is also the managing director of Hetedik Műterem Ltd., and he designs public buildings, public spaces, monuments and monument reconstructions. His major works include the reconstruction of the old town hall in Buda Castle, the renovation of the "Gomba" building on Móricz Zsigmond Square, the revitalisation of the Castle District in Sopron, the installation on Kálvin Square for the 500th anniversary of the Reformation and the memorial for the victims of World War II at Trefort Garden. In 2010 and 2016 he was awarded the Pro Architectura Prize, in 2017 the Hungarian Design Award and the Péter Molnár Memorial Prize. He is a two-time (2015, 2019) winner of the Budapest Architectural Award, two-time (2016, 2019) winner of the ICOMOS Award. He won the Ybl Miklós Award in 2018, and the Prima Award in 2021. He has been a full member of the Széchenyi Academy of Literature and Arts since 2020.
