Judit Boros is a design strategist and researcher. She is interested in the intersection of the designed world and the natural world. She has a PhD in Environmental Sciences from Central European University. Since 2023, she has been working at the Innovation Center of Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design. In her research she investigates how design can contribute to sustaining and enhancing urban ecosystems as a means of more-than-human placemaking.

With a background in product design engineering and service design, Judit has a systems-based approach to design that she applies to work on cross-disciplinary projects and educational activities for knowledge sharing. Before engaging in scientific research, she worked as a design consultant in various domains stretching from experimental designs for biotech projects to product, service and business development for large service providers (telecommunications and financial sector). Now she is keen to utilize her practice and experiences by working with design practices that place ecology and the non-human at the forefront of urban design, along with placemaking activities, ultimately infusing human-centeredness with nature-based solutions.
She has been involved in diverse educational programs. She has worked as a mentor for groups of young people to bring their ideas to life as part of Kitchen Budapest's Talent Program and Climate KIC's Accelerator Program, as well as at Milestone Institute. She ran the Service Design Expert course at MOME Open and the Advanced Design for Sustainability course at the Institute of Advanced Design Studies (ADES). She has held presentations at several academic institutions internationally and participated in numerous talks, workshops and industry events.
