Judit Bényei is an associate professor and the head of the MOME Design and Visual Art teacher training MA programme. Aside from teacher training, she teaches at the Doctoral School, and runs courses based on a theoretical and integrated approach. She takes part in Hungarian and international MOME projects.
Biography
During her work in education research and development, she has helped develop the Motion Picture Culture and Media course, she has taken part in teacher training courses and the accompanying research processes, and she has participated in international and Hungarian events. At one point in her career, she worked for the BME Information Society and Trend Research Centre, researching the impact of technological advancement on education and atypical employment. Together with her colleague Zsófia Ruttkay, she has been researching and teaching the use of digital technology in informal education at MOME for over 10 years, mainly focusing on knowledge transfer in museums, while her previous focus was on the use of ebooks. For over 10 years, she has been leading film clubs at the University of Debrecen, and she has been a member of the board of trustees of the Hungarian Motion Picture Foundation (MMKK). Currently, in collaboration with Zsolt Gyenge and Natália Fábics, she is heading RDI courses in connection with the Hungarian University Film Award project of the Hungarian Film Studies Association. As a researcher, developer and teacher, she frequently joins design-pedagogy programmes, such as the Design Thinking in Public Education (HEAD) project, STEAM pedagogy and the Jump into the future! competition.
