Beata graduated in architecture at MOME, and as the student of the Doctoral School, she currently leads the pre-diploma semester design course, which is part of the Institute of Architecture MA programme. The topic of her doctoral dissertation is adaptive reuse.

Biography

During her university years, she joined the PLANT Atelier Peter Kis architecture studio, where she has been a leading designer ever since. As a member of the studio, she took part in designing buildings that received several Hungarian and international awards (including the Icomos Award, Archdaily Best Industrial Building, the HD Design Award, an Piranesi Award nomination and a Mies van der Rohe Award nomination). As a co-designer with Péter Kis, she has worked on the Badacsony Bazaltbor Winery, the Great Rock and the Magic Mountain projects within the Budapest Zoo, as well as the Gyarmati Dezső Swimming Pool. Her individual works include the renovation of the Katona József Theatre, as well as her winning entry for Tokyo Design Week 2. She has over 10 years of experience in teaching interior design and architectural design courses.
