Biography
Anna Sidó started teaching at MOME in 2021 as a lecturer at the Design Curator specialisation of the Design Theory MA programme. As a teacher she emphasises the importance of understanding and applying the close relationship between theory and practice.
Professional résumé: Anna Sidó graduated from the doctoral programme of the ELTE Atelier Interdisciplinary History Department in 2023. Prior to that, she attended Pázmány Péter Catholic University, majoring in Art History and Italian, obtaining a degree in 2013.
She has over ten years’ professional experience working for museums. Since 2012, she has been a museologist and curator at the Petőfi Literary Museum, where her main exhibitions include: Re:peta - Video Works Reflecting on the Relationship Between Private and Cultural Memory and Food (Ágnes Eperjesi, Marcell Esterházy, Erika Baglyas, Viola Fátyol), 2016;
Self Portrait in Masks - János Arany memorial exhibition, 2017 (co-created with Zsuzsa Kalla and Emese Asztalos); Csáth. The Sorcerer’s Death, 2019 (co-created with Eszter Molnár); The End of the Dream? Climate Change in The Tragedy of Man and Today, 2023.
Her research interests include curatorial methodology, museology, cultural memory and heritage. She is the author and editor of numerous exhibition catalogues and studies. She is a member of the ICOM, the International Committee for Literary and Composers' Museums (ICLCM), and its Executive Committee.
