The Tomorrow Belongs to You scholarship program is looking for the creative talents of the future

This year, the MOME-led 'Tomorrow Belongs to You - for the Creative Talents of the Future' scholarship program expanded its reach to include Székesfehérvár, Szolnok, Cegléd, Kecskemét, and parts of Szabolcs county, bringing creative career opportunities to students in disadvantaged areas.

Launched by MOME Foundation in 2023, the initiative supports high school students with professional and mental guidance, preparing them for university studies, particularly in creative and design fields.

Similar to last year, the team visited high schools in disadvantaged areas, presenting the program during special sessions. Notable visits included Széchenyi István Secondary School and Art High School in Szolnok, and Kandó Kálmán Technical School in Kecskemét, among others. The initiative's first success story is Aruwa Írisz, who gained admission to MOME after just half a year.

The scholarship offers students an immersive experience at one of Hungary’s leading creative universities, including courses in animation, graphic design, product design, and architecture. Participants engage in community programs, workshops, and mentorships while exploring Budapest.

The program culminates in creating a personal creative portfolio, opening pathways to MOME or other higher education institutions. Travel support, accommodation, and summer camp experiences are also included, enriching the student experience.

The program accepts nominations and applications continuously.

What makes MOME appealing to young people? This question was explored in depth by the MOME delegation at the 8th Konnekt Live Career Orientation Festival that included designer and lecturer Dániel Ruppert, Animation student Enikő Svarcz, Textile Design BA student András Parag, and graphic designer and MOME alumna Dóra Sirály. In a discussion with the audience aged 16 to 20, the team shared insights into their respective fields, explained the admission process, and discussed the career opportunities available to MOME graduates.

Péter Maczó, a prominent figure in Hungarian typography has passed away

Péter Maczó taught generations of exceptional typographers and was deeply loved by his students. Based on the principles of László Moholy-Nagy, his credo was that typography as a means of communication should be clear, understandable, and effective, and legibility should not suffer.
