The Design Institute represents MOME at the largest Central European design fair, the Designblok in Prague

Organised for the 25th year, on 4 to 8 October, Designblok will also include a booth by the MOME Design Institute with Designer Maker and Product Design MA students. This year’s theme is “Journey”.

Designblok, the international design fair of Prague is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. with design events and exhibitions around the city from the National Gallery to smaller showrooms and galleries.  

The MOME Design Institute will also have a booth at the festival, with ceramic dinnerware created by students in a collaborative project (design course) by the MOME Designer Maker programme and ONYX Workshop. The students were tasked with designing serving dishes for the Workshop exploring contemporary dessert culture and the related serving culture, as well as the legacy of iconic Gerbeaud patisserie. The design course was led by art director of the Onyx Creative Community Angéla Góg and ceramist and MOME teacher Edit Kondor DLA.

The official signing of the contract for the Rome Student Residency Programme, established in collaboration between the two institutions, took place on 21 October at the MOME Campus.

As part of its commitment to sustainability and the FISU Healthy Campus programme, MOME has introduced new eco-friendly transportation alternatives. By partnering with GreenGo and MOL Bubi, it enables students, faculty, and staff to opt for green transportation to the Zugliget Campus.
