The Foundation for Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design has approved the university's 2022 budget, which contains a comprehensive salary increase on a scale unprecedented in the history of MOME. The process of renewing the institution has reached a new milestone, announced Gergely Böszörményi-Nagy, President of the Foundation.

MOME will spend a total of nearly HUF 4 billion on staff remuneration in 2022. This exceeds the total budget of the university so far. Compared to 2019, the last year before the model change, the basic salary of university professors and associate professors will increase by 84% next year, that of senior lecturers by 113% and that of assistant professors by 144%.

The new basic salaries will be combined with substantial bonuses from the second half of 2022, subject to satisfactory performance. Compared to 2019, the total increase in the income of university professors and associate professors will be 107%, that of senior lecturers 139% and that of assistant professors 174%.

And last but not least, in 2022, all the main student grants (including study, social and public scholarships, textbook and note grants) will be doubled across the board at MOME.

This puts the university at the forefront of the Visegrad countries, and in respect of some positions, it even takes the lead among the regional institutions.
