Rubik 50/80 Symposium
At the university’s illustrious professional event, the designer himself, Ernő Rubik, will be present, along with prominent figures of Hungary's scientific and artistic community delivering short talks on the impact of the iconic Rubik's Cube over the past fifty years on the culture of the 20th and 21st centuries and on important fields of science, and how it has become integrated into our civilisation. Speakers will include designer Irma Földényi, mathematician László Mérő, linguist, poet, and literary translator Ádám Nádasdy, cellist Ditta Rohmann, and design theorist and teacher at the MOME Institute for Theoretical Studies Ákos Schneider. The event will start with a welcome speech by Rector József Fülöp and will be moderated by Krisztina Boros.
