Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design
MOME Sonic Studio
MOME Sonic is a concert series launched in 2021 at the recommendation of Bálint Veres by graduating doctoral students of the Doctoral School studying and researching music or sound art.
The first concert debuted the four currently active doctoral students conducting research in music (Mária Anna Mákó, Ádám Krasz, Bálint Szabó, and Mátyás Wettl). To mark this occasion, they decided to establish a research group to professionally support and help develop each other's research areas.
The research group aims to build a community of the University’s sound and music art teachers, researchers, and students, in addition to getting a better understanding of each other’s research topics and developing them collectively.

The phenomenology of sound is essential to the weaving of our experienced reality. Evidence of the deliberate usage and exploration of spatial sound can be traced back to Palaeolithic cave paintings, where resonance is directly linked to the location and amount of parietal art found in prehistoric caverns.
